"The Gallery features paintings of artist Veronika Sleivyte and introduces her work and life in Kaunas. The domestic home setting of the artisan, characteristic to this region, is recreated for exhibition in the former home of her parents.
Artist Veronika Sleivyte was born December 6, 1906 in Antasava small town of Kupiskis district. She graduated Kaunas art school of further education in 1934. The numerous works of this artist are scattered around the country, but majority is concentrated in the gallery of Viktariskes.

"Adomas Petrauskas dedicated all his life to collecting objects of ethnography and history. In 1969 he opened the doors of his museum to the first visitor. Former exposition featured objects of ethnography and archaeological findings. Presently Museum of Adomas Petrauskas includes the complex of buildings with numerous showpieces.

"The museum contains the collections of archaeological finds found during excavations of Birzai Fortress and the Old Town, collections of coins and wooden sculptures (late 19th century - early 20th century), a collection of ancient musical instruments, the works by the local photographer Petras Loceris (1892-1973), collections of Lithuanian textbooks published between the two World Wars and publications printed in the Birzai printing House, documents and publications of the Lithuanian Reformed Church, including the Radvilos’, or the Lithuanian Brasta Bible (1563). According to an agreement with the Reformed Evangelical Church of Lithuania, Birzai Museum became a depository for the Church’s archives. "The museum contains numismatic and archaeological collections, works of art, documents, periodicals and photographs.
The museum has rich collections of numismatics, archaeology, carvings of the most famous idol maker Lionginas Sepka (1907-1985), displays of painting, graphic and applied art from the counts’ Tyzenhouzai and Psezdzieckiai collection.

Picture: Rokiskis Estate Palace in which Rokiskis Area Museum functions was built in 1801 by the count Ignotas Tyzenhauzas. 16 buildings belong to the estate ensemble. Behind the estate palace there is a wonderful park originated in 1797 and occupying an area of 16 ha." (Museums of Lithuania)
